An artsy, family-friendly village with a thriving local dining scene and strong community spirit.

Typical Price Range:$900K–$1.8M

About Newtonville

Newtonville is Newton's creative, slightly scrappier village — the one with the art center, the craft brewery vibe, and the restaurant scene that keeps getting better. Walnut Street is the main drag, home to our office at William Raveis, plus a growing lineup of restaurants and local businesses. The New Art Center anchors the cultural side. The housing stock is diverse and interesting — you'll find everything from stately Colonials on Otis Street to charming Craftsman bungalows and well-maintained two-families. It's less polished than Newton Centre, more affordable than Chestnut Hill, and has a genuine community feel that newcomers notice immediately.

Property Character

Eclectic and approachable. A real mix of housing types — Colonials, Craftsman bungalows, some Victorians, plenty of two-families, and a handful of newer condos near the village. Lot sizes vary more here than in other Newton villages. Some of the best renovation opportunities in Newton.
