About Needham Heights
Needham Heights has its own commuter rail station, its own small commercial cluster, and its own identity distinct from Needham Center. Located in the northern part of town closer to Newton and the Mass Pike, the Heights tends to attract buyers who want Needham schools at a slightly lower price point. The housing stock skews a bit more modest — more ranches and splits than in the Center — but the renovation wave has reached here too, and updated homes in the Heights offer excellent value. The Heights Playground and DeFazio Park give families easy access to green space, and the Ridge Hill Reservation's trails are close by.

Getting Around
Needham Heights commuter rail station — same line as Needham Center, one stop closer to Boston. Mass Pike access is quick via Highland Avenue and Needham Street. Route 128/I-95 is about 10 minutes south. Better highway access than Needham Center for drivers heading west.
Schools
Served by Mitchell Elementary (K-5) and Newman Elementary depending on the street. Feeds into Pollard Middle School. All Needham Heights students attend Needham High School. The Heights schools benefit from the same funding and curriculum as the rest of the Needham system.
